The most obvious difference between 2D and 3D is in the name

2D means two-dimensional and 3D means three-dimensional. In other words, a 2D animation has flat images that lack depth and can only move vertically and horizontally.

Your 2D animated video

A 2D-animated video is well suited for explaining how something works, such as an organization or service. One advantage is the ability to insert completely different objects to explain things.
Another benefit with animated video is that it can have a long life. In a recorded video, there may be machines that gets old or personnel who have been replaced.

With an animated video, it is also easier to make a video that is lighter and with a bit of humor. That can be an advantage in keeping the viewer interested and watch the whole film.

TEXT

To make a really good animated video, we need a good script. Start by listing the most important things that the film need to include. Then try to make these words into strong scentences. Obviously we at Filmbyggarna can help you with this and provide feedback on the script. As always when making a film, we also need access to your graphic profile with your preferred font a high resolution logo.

Most of the animated videos that we’ve produced has had a length of 1-2 minutes.

IMAGES

When the script is complete, one of our animators starts creating a storyboard. We go through the text and decide together what kind of pictures we need to illustrate the text. We will also decide on how the animations should look. It is a good idea to watch other animated videos, on for instance YouTube, for inspiration. In comparison to many other companies, who buys already made objects that they then animate, we always do our animation from scratch. That gives you a more personalized film that you know is unique for you and your company.

SOUND

Most films we make uses voice overs. Filmbyggarna collaborates with about 20 voice overs all over the world. Therefore we can offer a large variety of languages. We have high demands on sound quality and delivery. Within 1-3 days after sending a script, we expect the recording to be delivered from the voice over. Usually we give you a few suggestion of suitable voices and the final decision is up to you. After we receive the voice recording we start the animation. You always have a chance to see the film before it is finalized to be able to give your feedback and request changes.
